My very first blog post or the real countdown has started

I can finally start the countdown I've been waiting for for the last few months. The days-till-departure countdown! I leave on May 4th, most likely sometime in the middle of the night. The ticket hasn't been bought yet, but will be in three days. I have already started ticking things off my to-do list, which has been patiently waiting on my desk for the last two weeks, and it makes me unbelievably happy. I am already so excited I can't sleep and more or less everything I think about is in some way connected to Italy or EVS. I guess it's just the feeling of being a bit passive over the last few months that makes me want to get super active again, but it's also the change of lifestyle that I'm really looking forward to. In less than three weeks I'll be enjoying first-class cappuccino in the morning, a scoop of luscious gelato after lunch and a glass of home-made Chianti in the evening. Add that to great company (well, I haven't met any of my potential new friends, flat mates or colleagues yet, but I my intuition tells me they'll all be a blast) and working on environment projects I'm dying to start with. Seriously, what more could I wish for?
